Advice from Theodore Roosevelt!

In honor of the Roosevelt documentary that began tonight on PBS, I found a quote by Teddy that applies to writers struggling to get their thoughts on paper (or computer screens).

"In any moment of decision, the best thing you can do is the right thing, the next best thing is the wrong thing, and the worst this you can do is nothing."

Theodore Roosevelt

Write soon, (and don't worry if it's the right thing!)

  2. Mary--You could even twist it a little and say, "...the best thing to do is the write thing..." 'cause after all, if we're writing, even if we're writing stuff that is going to have to be revised, we're still doing the best thing possible.

Great advice, Mary. Slugdom is never a good thing...

  4. Love that quote! I've been watching the documentary on the Roosevelts and am loving it. It prompted me to buy a book on Franklin and Eleanor that I'm currently reading and enjoying tremendously.

  5. P.S. Had to comment again since I just started watching the Roosevelts on Monday. Taping tonight's installment since we'll be at the library!
