Continue space monkey story here

I’m pretty organized when it comes to my work, and I keep file folders labeled according to topics so with a quick glance I can figure out what’s in them. But today I went to my “Blog 2015” file where I store ideas for future blog posts, and read the following sentence: Continue space monkey story here.

The problem is, I don't recall ever having written a space monkey story, or remember hearing or reading about a monkey in space that would be pertinent to my blog. I honestly have no idea what this means, except for the fact that 2015 is obviously not going as well as I had hoped.

How about you? Do you ever find bits and pieces of information you have written down with no clue as to what it means?

Write soon,

Mary

  1. Yes, once in a while. I think it's a combination of age and being spread too thin. Also, I want to think that our talent and our divergent thinking and our desire to write and experience as much as we can factors in. At least that's what I'm hoping...

    1. Thanks, Sioux, that wasn't even close to what I was thinking. "Talent and divergent thinking" sound so much better!

  2. Oh yes, I find bits all the time that have no meaning or I forgot how I want to expand the idea. Lately I'm even confusing myself in my submission record. I have tried three different ways over the years and now still unhappy again because I have so many pages to go through to find info I want. My records are beginning to look just like my idea files!

    1. I feel your pain, my submission tracking is not nearly as good as my story file system!

  3. That is funny! I haven't come up with anything as bizarre as that, but I find snippets all the time and wonder, what was I thinking?! You know they did send a monkey into outer space when I was a kid.
