I just decided there is a Research Part 2!

Just like every writing project, research is unique. I didn't feel like I covered everything I wanted to say in the last post, so I'm adding more information from the Women On Writing website article I did several years ago. Here's the link: http://www.wow-womenonwriting.com/31-How2-Research.html

Write soon,

Mary

  1. Thanks for the link, Mary. I read your article, and especially liked the section on "Cold Calling." Yes, having questions prepared when the interviewee is called to set up the interview makes a lot of sense, in case they can chat right then.

    Thanks again.

  2. Yes, and you can probably figure out how I know that, because it happened to me, but only once. I did learn from it!

  3. Great suggestions! It's amazing how I can go searching for information to verify something I'm writing about, and spend hours reading something else. Chasing down rabbit holes is apparently something I do quite well.

    1. Me, too! And when I come out of the research daze, I don't remember what I was looking for in the first place.

    1. Thanks, Linda. It is good to have some sort of plan.
