Mary--This reminds me of Carol Burnette's memoir, when she talked about she and her other actor friends. They were desperate to get acting jobs, but no one would give them a chance, so they planned and had their own "showcase" performance... and the rest is history.

ReplyDeleteI heard a similar story about Rodney Dangerfield. He opened his own comedy club so he could perform! Love these stories!
