Can you sum up your life in 91 words?

In honor of author Keith Hoerner and Nancy Baumann of Stonebrook Publishing, I want to share this 91-word memoir contest from Gotham Writers Workshop. Keith and Nancy spoke yesterday at Saturday Writers, and offered dozens of tips on writing memoir.
All entries must be original, unpublished and 91 words in length, not including the title. It’s free to enter, but only one entry per person is allowed. The deadline is Oct. 15. Follow this link for more information and an entry form.
If you missed the meeting, don't worry. I’ll write more about Keith and Nancy later!
Write soon,
Mary

  1. Mary--I got in on the tail-end of Keith's talk, but what I heard was marvelous.

Memoir is my favorite to read as well as write. However, I don't know about 91 words. How about you, Mary? Are you submitting something?

  2. Hi Mary! I really enjoyed Nancy's and Keith's presentations and took lots of notes. I really want to read Keith's memoir, too. It still haunts me.....
Oh, and 91 Words?? I'll give it a try! Good Luck to you!

  3. The word limit is tough. I was messing around with different formats, but it didn't sound good. I'm going to keep trying, though, and see what i come up with!

  4. Hi Mary,
Wish I could've made the meeting last weekend, but I'm happy to learn you will be posting about it.
